Ky-Mani Marley was born in Falmouth Jamaica on 26th February 1976, is among the many of the most well-known and wealthy Reggae artists. He sang in Shottas with another singer Wyclef. Ky-Mani signed with Shang Records and recorded his debut album in 1996, Like Father Like Son. This was followed by a number of singles including Dear Dad, which topped British Reggae Charts. Who The Cap was a perfect fit (remix) and Sensimelia. They all contributed to Ky-Mani's reputation as a new reggae musician. Ky-Mani as well as Praswell from the Fugees joined together in 1997 and recorded Avenue, a cover version Eddy Grant's Electric Avenue. Marley first appeared on stage in Miami at Midem. The performance of Marley on stage at Cameo Theatre was broadcast live to 36 different countries by Caribbean News Agency. Marley found himself in a bidding battle. He joined Gee Street/V2 Records where in 1997 he worked with P.M. Dawn on the single Gotta Be Movin On Up. Bob Marley is the father of his wife Anita Belnavis and he's their sole child.
