MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The singer has made significant inroads to Latin pop. Una Lady Como Tu from 2016 won the Colombian Kids Choice Award as The Most Popular Song for the year 2017. In Medellin, Sony distributed La Industria Inc. and also released ADN for his debut full-length album. Its Top Latin Albums chart ranked ADN at the 8th spot. Vaina Loca was an instant Top Five hit for Ozuna and for him in the following year. He dropped Dopamina, his chart-topping second album, in the year following. Later in 2021, he performed as a duo with TINI on her streaming hit single Maldita Foto. 2000 which included the smash hit La Bachata appeared in 2023. Turizo is a renowned musician, born into a musical family. Both his parents also played the guitar. He has said in interviews that music is a must. In his early years, he learned to play saxophone guitar ukulele and piano. He initially wanted to be Veterinarian, however after his brother Julian encouraged him to take singing lessons from the help of a Cuban singer, he changed career plans.
