Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is an acclaimed Indian actress who is best recognized for her roles in the films Beta Saajan, and Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Beta Saajan. Her career began in the her twenties. The role she played as Anil Kapoor in Tezaab has made her hugely well-known. In the following film, Dil, Aamir Khan appeared alongside her. Early on, as a girl growing up in Mumbai's middle class she began to learn how to dance. While still a teenager she tried her hand at acting, but most of those early films were unsuccessful. Her fame grew and she became one of India's top movie actresses. After her marriage was over, she took a few months away from performing until she returned. In recent times, she was an integral part of Gulaab Gang about Indian women. Dixit has been nominated for the fifteen Filmfare Awards, out of which she won eight. Padma Shri was awarded to Dixit. It is the fourth-highest civil honour in India. In addition, she has been recognized for her efforts in the social sector.
